Bamboo has been used in the East for centuries as an attractive and practical material with numerous uses. It is harder and stronger than most commonly used timber. Advanced technology now allows bamboo to be machined and formed into solid counter tops, panels and flooring products that are ideal for use in modern homes.
Bamboo boards and panels are available in two main colour variations, a natural "blonde" or a mid-brown. Various stains and colour effects can also be applied. Flooring is supplied as pre-coated boards, ready to install. Whatever the colour, bamboo surfaces display an attractive and unusual grain pattern that exudes the warmth, beauty and attractive appeal of a high quality natural product.

Bamboo is harder and stronger than most hard woods in common use. The abrasion resistance, bending strength, rigidity and indentation resistance of bamboo is up to twice that of similar wood products.
Bamboo has a softer sound and feel than granite or other stone tops, and is friendlier to crockery and glassware than stone. Bamboo counter tops will also not crack or chip as natural stone counter tops are prone to do. For kitchen counter tops, work surfaces and vanities, bamboo is superior to timber because it is more resistant to burning (scorching) and less susceptible to water damage. Although bamboo tops should still be sealed, if water does get into the bamboo tops they are less likely than timber to swell, crack, split or warp. Also, because of the way that the bamboo tops are made up from multiple layers, the dimensional stability of the bamboo tops is better than that of most timber tops. In other words, bamboo tops are less likely to bend, twist or warp over time.
Bamboo flooring is more wear-resistant and less susceptible to warping than most hard wood flooring.
The natural appearance and soft colours of bamboo combined with its interesting grain pattern will add elegance to any contemporary home.
